How To Create SMS Templates

To create an SMS template, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Plan -> Templates.

  2. Click on the "+New" button.

  3. Enter a relevant Title to the template(follow the title naming rules mentioned below the textbox).

  4. The default channel displayed is WhatsApp.

  5. Select "SMS" from the dropdown menu.

  6. If desired, you can remove the default channel (WhatsApp) from the list.

  7. You can now start creating the message by entering the details in the composer.

  8. The preview of which can be seen as you are typing in the message.

  9. Maximum character limit for an SMS is 160.

  10. So, keep this in mind while you make a message body.

  11. You can make use of template literals to embed some variables like First name, Last name...

  12. Click on "Save" to save your template.

You have successfully created a "SMS template".
