Import And Export Of Contacts
The import and export functionality for contacts is essential for efficient data management, especially when dealing with large volumes of contact information. Both importing and exporting contacts support the CSV format, making it easy to transfer data between the application and other systems.
Importing contacts via CSV allows users to quickly upload and populate the application with contact details from external sources. This streamlines the onboarding process and ensures that all necessary contacts are readily available in the system.
Similarly, exporting contacts to a CSV file enables users to extract contact data for reporting, analysis, or backup purposes. This flexibility ensures that businesses can maintain organized and accessible contact records across various platforms while also facilitating data sharing and integration.
How To Import Contacts
To import, follow a few simple steps, hover over the "Customers icon in the sidebar and select Contacts".
Click on the ellipsis button beside the "+New" button.
Select "Import".
A window appears with specific instructions. Click on the template excel file link. The template shows you the structure in which you can import the data to Ephanti's application. Enter all your details in the excel file(copy the data from your existing file).
Save the file as .csv file.
Upload the file by clicking on "Upload File" link or, you can drag-and-drop the file.
Click on Next.
Here you click on the "Validate" button where it checks if you have entered proper data. After it shows there is no error, click on "Import".
All the data will be imported in the contacts section.
How To Export Contacts
To export data for future reference,
Click on the ellipsis button beside the New button.
Select "Export".
A window appears with all the fields selected by default.
You can choose which fields you want to export here, and then click on the "Export" button.
The data is now exported in .csv format.
