Dynamic Target Group
The concept of dynamic target groups proves to be a strategic approach in fostering collaboration and achieving collective impact. Unlike static organizational structures, dynamic target groups within NGOs are adaptable entities that form around specific issues, projects, or goals. These groups bring together individuals with diverse skills, expertise, and backgrounds, uniting them under a common cause.
How To Create A Dynamic Group
This group will be very useful when you create a campaign. It is created with a lot of dynamic information, such as Name, Age, Gender, City, Country, etc.
Let us look at a small example on how to create a dynamic group.
Create a new target group, the dynamic group is the default type which is already enabled for you. Click on Ok.
A screen appears with all the contacts that you have created so far.
Now it is time to segment these contacts based on your requirement.
Click on the filter icon to segment the contacts.
In the filter section, you can segment the contacts in different ways. Let us look into various ways of segmenting the contacts.
a. You might want to Segment based on only one criterion(name, age, etc). For instance, you can click on Country. Select is equal to or is not equal to. Select the country that you want to target. Then click on Apply Filter.
b. This is how it looks after the filter is applied.
c. Now there might be instances where you want more than one type of audience in the same group. In this case, we add more filters to our segmentation.
d. Click on + to add another filter. Here you have a selection box where you can select if you want to have both age and country as the filter using AND. If you want to segment your contacts either using country or age or gender. You select OR from the drop-down list.
Click on "Save".
The Dynamic Target Group is ready to be used.
