Party Type

Contacts within a business context come in various forms, each playing a unique role in fostering connections and driving interactions. From customers and clients to suppliers and partners, the types of contacts in a professional setting are diverse. Customer contacts serve as the lifeblood of any business, representing those who engage with products or services. On the other hand, supplier contacts are crucial for maintaining a robust supply chain, ensuring the timely flow of resources. Partner contacts involve collaborative relationships that can lead to shared success.

Party Type section helps the user in differentiating these types of contacts for better understanding.

Party Type can be added to any of these four sections :

  1. Employees
  2. Accounts
  3. Contacts
  4. Organizations

How To Add a Party Type

  1. Go to Settings -> Configurations.

  2. Select ‘Party Type’ Tab.

  3. On the left, select any one entity(Employees, Accounts, Contacts, Organizations) where you want to make changes. In this sample let us select Contacts.

  4. Click on the "+New" button, a modal appears on the screen.

  5. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory, and here all the fields are mandatory.

  6. Add the Sub-Type ID, it can be any number which you want to add. Keep in mind that the form always accepts unique names and IDs.

  7. Now, enter Sub-type Name, followed by the “Display Text”.

  8. Then, click "OK".

  9. You can always Enable or Disable the party type by clicking on the toggle button.

This way you can easily customize the type of contacts you add and maintain the data efficiently.
