Notes And Attachments Of Accounts
The Notes feature in account details allows users to enhance and contextualize account records by adding supplementary information and relevant documents. Notes enable users to record important details, observations, and interactions related to an account. This can include meeting summaries, follow-up tasks, and any other relevant information that provides a complete picture of the account's history. By maintaining comprehensive notes, team members can easily access and understand the context of previous interactions, ensuring continuity and informed decision-making.
Attachments, on the other hand, allow users to upload and associate various files such as documents, images and video. This ensures that all critical documents are stored in a centralized location, making it easier for team members to access the necessary information without having to search through the application. By leveraging notes and attachments, organizations can ensure that their account records are thorough, well-documented, and easily accessible, ultimately improving efficiency and collaboration.
The Account Details page features two distinct areas where notes can be added and viewed. First, there is a section within the details page itself where users can quickly add and view notes related to the account. This allows for immediate documentation of important information without navigating away from the main account details.
Additionally, there is a separate "Notes" tab dedicated exclusively to note-taking. In this tab, users can add more comprehensive notes, view a chronological list of all notes associated with the account, and manage existing notes. Having both options ensures that users can efficiently document and access pertinent information in a way that best suits their workflow.
How To Add Notes and Attachments In Accounts
To add a note,
Hover over the "Customers icon in the sidebar and select Accounts".
Click on the "ID" for which you want to add notes and attach file.
You will be directed to the Account Details page. On the right side, is the Notes section.
Click on "Add Notes" button. A modal appears.
Enter the "Title" and "Description" of the note and click "OK".
The note is created successfully and can be viewed in its section.
To attach a file to the note,
Click on the "Attach" icon in the modal, below the description box.
Select the file that you want to attach to the note.
Document: The supported file types are .docx, .pdf and .csv format.
Image: The supported file types are .jpg and .png format. Maximum file size limit 50 MB.
Audio: The supported file type is .mp3 format. Maximum file size limit 50 MB.
After the file is attached to the note, click "OK".
The note is created successfully with an attachment linked to it.
